Let’s discuss the market’s surprising endurance – and why things could soon get bumpy.
On average, humans blink around 15 to 20 times per minute. When we’re focused, however – say, while watching an intense scene in a movie – we blink far less. Time seems to slow down, our senses sharpen, and we hold our breath without realizing it. Financial markets can have similar moments – times when investors stop blinking. They watch each tick, hold cash tightly, or suddenly rush in, almost in unison.
That’s what it feels like now: Everyone is watching, and few are flinching, for good reason: The Big Money Index (BMI) has now been overbought for 31-trading days, far surpassing its average of 22-days.
